PRESS RELEASE: MCI @ The NASA Biennial Saxophone Conference (2020)

On March 6-9, 2020, the 2020 Biennial North American Saxophone Alliance conference will be taking place at Arizona State University. We are thrilled to share with you that 5 world premieres of new music written by 4 of our MCI composers will be featured during the conference! One of these premieres includes the first movement of Kevin Day's sonata for alto saxophone and piano Unquiet Waters, which was selected as the winner of the 2020 NASA Composition Competition!

In addition, MCI composer Dr. Jordan VanHemert will be presenting a guest lecture at this year's NASA conference titled Finding the Individual Voice: Exploring the Role of Composition in Applied Jazz Pedagogy.
