FRANKLIN HANSEN
Utilizing the modernity of dissonance combined with sparkling instrumental textures and harmonies, award-winning composer FRANKLIN HANSEN (b. 2002), assumes a progressive perspective to music while maintaining a whimsical energy. His compositions build immense and intricately layered soundscapes that navigate between motives and atmospheres in a constant state of motion. Though it often appears to branch toward a more contemporary style, Franklin’s music retains a certain familiarity, seemingly grounded in the sense of nostalgia.
Franklin is currently pursuing a dual degree in Music Education and Composition at Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts, where he studies with Dr. Amanda Harberg.
