CÉSAR ORTIZ

CÉSAR ORTIZ was born in 1998 in Peru. He has studied music composition with the composer Antonio Gervasoni at the UPC, Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, and has been teacher assistant in the courses of Counterpoint with César Vega and Music Theory with Karin Valdivia. He is a member of the CPMN, Peruvian Community of New Music, has worked in short films, video games, publicity and has participated in game jams as well.

His compositions are mainly for chamber music and electronic music covering and combining different styles such post-minimalism, atonalism, pandiatonicism and film music.

César is always looking to improve his music and that is why he is always open to collaborate with other composers and performers as well. Apart from composition, he likes books, cinema, hanging-out with friends and playing classical guitar.
